The Hotel Villa Aurea sits at the
foot of the hill of Cortona, the old Etruscan town, in the neighbourhood
of Campaccio, with a splendid view of the Val di Chiana and Lake
Trasimeno. Situated on the border between Umbria and Tuscany,
Cortona is in the heart of an area rich in art and historical-cultural
interests, and the town is easily reached.
By Car:
Arriving from the A1 Autostrada (tollway) Milan- Naples, exit
at “Valdichiana” whether coming from Florence or Rome.
Follow the signs for the E45 superstrada (motorway) Siena-Perugia
and go in the direction of Perugia.
Exit the superstrada at “Foiano-Cortona” and follow
the signs for Cortona until you arrive in Camucia. At the little round crossroad in the middle of town follow the signs for the direction
of Mercatale and along the way (just before Pergo) you will find
the road and entrance to Villa Aurea. For the people who came from Perugia driving along the Highway E 45 take the Castiglione del Lago exit and follow the directions for Cortona. After passing Terontola and Riccio, turn right towards Ossaia. Continue straight up to the Stop and turn left towards Cortona , few metres and at the end of the boundary wall of the Villa you’ll drive along on your left there is the Hotel Villa Aurea .
